Event Actions - Pulpstream

A task goes through many events during its lifecycle. It is possible initiate specific actions on those events.

Use cases

Task is being assigned to an employee who email address is on file.
Send a custom email to that employee by capturing the task creation event.
If an Expense is for less than 5,000 and submitter grade is 'A', Auto approve the expense
When an expense of more than 5000 is approved, inform supervisor of task completer
When an inspection is completed, inform the location manager. The location may be present in a smart object field in the stream document.

Events

Event Conditions

Always - Unconditional execution
Match All - Specify comparisons to one or more field values. Take action if all of the comparisons are true.
Match Any - Specify comparisons to one or more field values. Take action if any of the comparisons are true.
Expression - Specify an expression to define the event condition

Event Actions

Update fields - Store a specified value, contents of a field, or the results of an expression into specified fields.
Send Email - Use an email template to send a message to a specific recipient or to one of the email addressed stored in stream data.
Auto Approve/Complete - Automatically complete the task, approving it if it is a confirmation-task.
Add Feed Message - Post a comment to the activity feed for the current task.

- Such variables have the form $DataComponent.FieldName.
Change Stage Status - Change the process-stage for the stream record.
Send SMS Message - Send a text message to a specific phone number or to the number stored in one of the user fields associated with the record.

Execute Rule - Select a Rule to execute.
