Task Assignment Settings

Assignment List
This list specifies who will be responsible for completing a task.
A task can be owned by multiple people. A task can 
be assigned to one specific person
from a pool of people based on round robin or minimum queue length. 

This option is also useful when assigning tasks to representatives of specific location, account or office. For example, A smart object will hold the list of locations or offices. The smart object will have a user field such as location manager. When an incident is created for a specific location, the investigation task can be assigned to the manager of that location.

Task Distribution
When task is assigned to more than one person, then task distribution strategy can be used. 

Send Task Assignment Notification Email
By default potential owners of a task are always notified using the 'Task Assignment
Notification Template'​. If users will be notified using a custom template, or if they
need not be modified at all, this option can be unchecked.

 

This option is useful when you do not notify users at all, or you want to notify users using a customized email, template, at a common email address or with a text message. In that case, use the Task Events tab and trap the Task Creation event to send the customized message.

Outcomes Available
Defines the action button available to the user for completing the task.
