Create a Stream Using the Wizard

This approach is the fastest way to create a stream from the ground up. Use it to create an initial stream that can be modified and extended later.

 

With this option, the Data Fields tab appears. Click it to begin defining the stream's initial data component.

 

Data Fields

Here, you will define the fields that part of the stream's initial data component. That data component is the foundation for the stream. Additional data components can be defined later, but at the outset the fields defined here will hold the data that will be flowing through the stream.

 

To start, Give a name to the information that will be contained in the data component. In other words, give the initial data component a name. If you are building an incident management system, for example, chances are that the name will be "Incident"

 

Next specify the various fields that will hold the information. Example of such fields are "Employee Name", "Age", "Title" etc.

 

For each field, specify:

Once the fields have been specified for the initial document, click Save Changes.

The stream is created.
