Customizing Your Stream

When you create a new stream, several things are done for that make life easier. For example, the first document you create has a default form. But you may want to customize that form to change the order in which things appear, or to make other changes.

 

In addition, you may want to:

  1. Customize forms for additional data components
    When you create a subsidiary data component, the default Form for the document is always used. To change that behavior, hover the Forms entry in the sidebar and click New. Then select the document to base the form on, and modify the form.
     
  2. Modify the default email templates.
    • For example, you may want to add your company name and other information.
    • In addition, in the default Record Creation Email template that goes to the user who submitted the form, URL-text is inserted into the message. Some email clients automatically turn such text into a clickable link that goes to the record--but some don't. If the links aren't clickable in the messages your users receive, modify the template to make the links clickable by changing $record.url to
