Managing Rules

If you have permissions to do so, you can create, modify, and remove rules.

To create a rule:

  1. Go to Gear Menu > Rules Management
  2. Click Create a new rule
  3. Give the rule a Title and a Description
  4. Define the fields in the Input Data and Output Data components,
    where the possible field types are:
    • Text, Phone, Email
    • Number, Number with Decimals
    • Date, DateTime
  5. Define the rule's processing steps

To modify a rule:

  1. Go to Gear Menu > Rules Management
  2. Select a rule.
  3. Checkout the rule.
  4. Make your changes:
    • Modify the process associated with the rule
    • Change it's input and output data components
    • Modify its integrations.
  5. Checkin the rule.

To remove a rule:

  1. Go to Gear Menu > Rules Management
  2. Select a rule.
  3. In the Summary tab, under the rule's gear icon, choose Delete Rule.
    (This option is enabled only if the rule has been retired, and if it is not in use.)
