This option appears if you have the appropriate permissions.

Profiles specify global settings that apply to the account as a whole, and to all streams defined in the account. (For stream-specific options, Roles are created in the stream definition.)

As with roles, a profile gives a name to a collection of permissions. When a new user is added to the system, they are granted the appropriate set of permissions by simply assigning them a profile. A user's full set of permissions at a given point in time is determined by the profile a user has been assigned, together with the role they are granted in any stream they are allowed to access.

 

The default profiles will be sufficient for many, but additional profiles can be created, as needed.
For example:

• An end user can submit records to selected streams.
• A manager can create reports, and can approve or reject actions taken by others.
• A developer can set up integrations with external systems.
• An administrator can add new users to the system and assign them profiles.

To manage profiles:

1. Go to the Gear Menu
2. Click Account Management
3. Click the Profiles tab.
4. Click New to add a new group, or select a profile and click Edit to make changes.
5. Alternatively, use the options under the profile's gear icon to remove the profile or view its change history.

When you create or view a profile, you see the following tabs: 

• Summary - Profile name and description
• A tab for each subset of the possible permissions.
• Users - A list of users who have been assigned this profile.
